Welcome to the 2025–2026 Season Tryout Information Page!  We’re excited to help you prepare for the upcoming club volleyball season. Below, you'll find everything you need to determine your player’s age group using the official USAV Age Chart, learn more about our tryout process, and more.

USAV AGE CHART: To determine your player's age group for the 2025–2026 season, please refer to the USAV Junior Player Age Definition 2025–2026 (click here). While the age chart provides official groupings based on birthdate, we encourage all players to try out with the group aligned to their upcoming grade level. For example, an incoming Junior with a July birthday may technically fall under 16U but should attend the 17U tryout to stay with their academic peers.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at info@nitro-sa.com.

NEW!! LIBERO PROCESS: Due to high interest, athletes wishing to try out as a libero—whether primary or secondary—must attend a dedicated Libero Tryout focused on serve receive and defense. Athletes selected during this session will be invited to the full team tryouts without needing to re-register.

NEW!! CLOSED TRYOUT POLICY: While we previously avoided this approach, after reviewing standard practices among clubs in other regions, we have made the decision to implement a closed tryout format to maintain a fair and focused environment for all athletes. This change is also in response to past incidents involving unauthorized filming and sharing of our tryout process by individuals affiliated with other programs.

• Tryouts for 13U–17U will be drop-off only — spectators will not be permitted. Athletes will be released to the common area just outside the gym for pickup.
• For 11U–12U, there will be a brief parent meeting at the start of tryouts. Following the meeting, all parents will be asked to leave the facility.  Athletes will be released to the common area just outside the gym for pickup

CALLBACK & POST TRYOUT PROCEDURES: In response to community feedback, we’ve scheduled tryouts earlier this year. To make the process smoother for everyone, we’ve also added callbacks and streamlined our post-tryout communication.

Here’s what to expect for callback:

• Email Notification: All participants will receive an email by the end of their first tryout day. If you are invited to a callback, we look forward to seeing you there! If you are not selected for a callback, we encourage you to explore other club opportunities available in the area.

Here’s what to expect after tryouts:

• Email Notification: All participants will receive an email following their last tryout day.
  
• Letter of Intent (LOI): Selected players will receive a link to sign their LOI and submit a non-refundable payment by the deadline to secure their spot.
• Offer Expiration: If the deadline passes without confirmation, the offer will expire, and we will begin reaching out to alternates.
• Coach Follow-Up: The day after tryouts, your coach will personally contact you to introduce themselves, confirm you received email, and answer any questions you may have.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make these improvements to provide a fair, efficient, and transparent tryout experience for all families.

Please note: Tryout registration fees are non-refundable and cannot be credited toward future registrations. If you do not attend tryouts or choose to stay with another club after trying out, your registration fee will be forfeited.
